Iranian painter Nasrin Khosravi dies

The Veteran Iranian painter and illustrator of children's book, Nasrin Khosravi, has passed away at the age of 60 while visiting her family in Canada.

Khosravi was best known for her memorable illustrations of more than 25 children's books as well as frescos and graphic designs.

Daughter of a Dream Garden, A Drop of Song, A Piece of Moon, Little Star and Full Moon are among the many books adorned with Khosravi's art.

She held more than 15 national and international exhibitions and received numerous awards at Iranian and international events, such as UNESCO's 1994 Noma Concours international award for Picture Book Illustrations.

Khosravi was also nominated for the UNICEF-Ezra Jack Keats International Award for Excellence in Children's Book Illustration in 1994.
