Three Iranian productions are slated to take part in the competition section of the 2012 edition of the Neum Animated Film Festival in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"Parazit", "I was Two" and "shekarestan" will compete at the annual event which will run from June 30 to July 5, 2012.
"I was Two" will make its international debut, while "shekarestan" and "I Was Two" will have a chance to repeat their success.
"shekarestan" is a series telling stories inspired by Persian proverbs, anecdotes and stories.
The animation has been screened in numerous national and international festivals, including the 7th Bangalore Children's Film Festival and the Changzhou International Animation and Digital Arts Festival (CICDAF) in China.
Director of the 90-episode series Babak Nazari has also won numerous awards including the best animation award of the 27th Tehran International Short Film Festival.
"I Was Two" is a sand animation directed by Shiva Asadi and has been screened in many festivals. It was awarded at Tehran’s 7th International Animation Festival.
