Seven films have been scheduled to be screened at the House of Cinema in the capital city of Belarus, Minsk, during the Iranian Film Week that opened on June 15, 2012.
Parviz Shekhtadi’s family drama Red Robin, Mohammad Bozorgnia’s historical movie The Maritime Silk Road and Asghar Farhadi’s Oscar-winning film A Separation are among the films to be screened in the festival.
The event will also present Reza Mirkarimi’s A Cube of Sugar, Rambod Javan’s No Men Allowed , Rouhollah Hejazi’s The Private Life of Mr. and Mrs. M. and Mehdi Karampour’s The Wooden Bridge.
“Realism and focusing on the spiritual aspects of life is the distinctive feature of Iranian films which distinguishes them from Western productions,” Director of the Cinematography Department of the Belarusian Ministry of Culture Oleg Silvanovich had earlier said.
Panel discussions on Iranian cinema are programmed to be held on the sidelines of the event.
