Iranian photographer Asghar Sameti has won two awards at the 2012 edition of the international Spanish Andorran Iberoamerican Circuit contest.
Sameti received the FIAP Gold Medal for his black and white photo ‘My Dress’ and the FIAP Bronze Medal for his color photograph ‘Wheat for Bread’.
According to a report published by Iran’s Cultural Office in Spain, Sameti participated in the event with 12 works and in two categories.
The Iranian photographer will receive his awards during a ceremony due to be held at Centre Cultural La Misericordia, Palma de Mallorca, Spain on October 13, 2012.
Asghar Sameti has participated in many national and international events and has been honored by the Inter-Asian Philatelic Federation (FIAP).
He was also awarded at the 11th Virtual Image International Photo Exhibition in Buenos Aires, Argentina where he received the FIAP Bronze Medal and the Jury Mention for his ‘Global Village’ and ‘Same God in Ground and Sky’ respectively.
