Three young sculptors have been assigned to make sculptures out of the three dried pine trees situated in the courtyard of Tehran’s Enqelab Sports Club.

The trees are situated outside the restaurant of the club, and the project was commissioned by the restaurant manager, young sculptor Reza Mikailzadeh told the Persian service of ISNA on Monday.

“We were free to choose the subject, so we decided to make use of abstract themes to create the sculptures of the heart of the trees,” he said.

He added that the trees with different heights of 3, 3.5, and 4.5 meters are situated at a distance of almost one or two meters apart.

No additional material has been used in the sculptures, he said, adding that Majid Vafakhah and Ali Yadaii are the other two sculptors working on the project.

The project will be accomplished within the next few weeks, he added.

The three sculptors are students of the prominent sculptor Jamshid Moradian.
