UCLA Celebration of Iranian Cinema kicks off in US

A number of Iranian cinematic works have been selected to be showcased at the 23th edition of Iranian film festival in the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).


Maziar Miri’s Saadatabad, Mani Haqiqi’s Modest Reception, Ali Mosaffa’s The Last Step and Rambod Javan’s No Entry for Men are to be screened at this year’s festival. 

Street Sultans directed by Zeinab Tabrizi and Paliz Khoshdel,Facing Mirrors by Negar Azarbaijani and Downpour by Bahram Beyzaie are also among the participated films. 

Bahram Beyzaie, Maziar Miri, Ali Mosaffa and Negar Azarbaijani are slated to attend their movie screening programs. 

The festival with the aim of introducing Iran's fascinating national cinema will present all films in Persian with English subtitles. 

The 2013 UCLA Celebration of Iranian Cinema that kicked off on April 13 will run until April 28.
